Cronan Paint and Hardware Company originated in 1910 under the sole proprietorship of James Patrick (JP) Cronan and evolved into a family business with his sons; James, Jr., Edward, and John, and their cousin LaSalle (Sully). The business flourished in 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s in the East Bay area.
Cronan Paint and Hardware Company downscaled their operation in the 1970s and closed the store and the painting contracting in the 1980s. Their reputation was built on common sense craftsmanship, educated experience, superlative skills, and personal communication. This enabled many families in the East Providence and surrounding communities to attend quality performance at reasonable cost.
Cronan Painting Company originated in 2007 under the sole proprietorship of Jarrett Edward Cronan, the great grandson of JP and the grandson of Edward. This enabled the Cronan family painting legacy to continue in the new millennium. The Cronan name is associated with the characteristics of excellence and integrity. Jarrett is determined to continue with that philosophy in his daily work and in his interaction with his clients. Please contact him with your painting needs!
